The Japan Foundation presents a traveling exhibition “WA: The Spirit of Harmony in Contemporary Japanese Design.”
Excellent Japanese product designs will be exhibited in a space specially designed by the leading design company, TONERICO: INC, with graphic design by Kei Matsushita Design Room.

161 items selected from a variety of fields will be exhibited in 12 categories: tableware; kitchen & bath; home electronics; information; toys; stationeries; sundries; outfits; bags; vehicles; furniture; and lighting apparatus. Moreover, six keywords: kawaii (cute); craft; texture; touch; minimal; and sensitivity will be presented as unique elements in Japanese design, and related works will be exhibited.

*This exhibition travels through Europe, starting in Paris France to Budapest, Hungary and Essen, Germany. The homecoming exhibition will be held in Japan at the end.
