Join a discussion on the future of higher efficiency modeling in building construction and maintenance. In the past decade, a range of energy modeling software has been released from big and small players alike. Each subsequent year yields better productions for the professionals: more advanced functionalities; greater fidelity and accuracy in systems simulation; increased integration with other applications; and better-designed user experience, among others. Are developments, however, pointing towards an open source future? How can applications address complexity without sacrificing user adaptiveness and data accuracy? How should energy modeling be used in concert with other factors to inform design and building recommendations? Sponsors: NYDesigns of the City University of New York & NYSERDA Moderator: Neil Chambers, LEED-AP - CEO, Chambers Design, and author of Urban Green: Architecture for the Future Speakers: Jonatan Schumacher, Director of Advanced Computational Modeling - Thornton Tomasetti; Liam Buckley, Business Development Manager - IES Ltd; Final speaker TBD RSVP AT http://open-source-energy.eventbrite.com
