Carme Pinos, Estudio Carme Pinos, Barcelona "We wanted our garden to be a concentration of perfumes in which we are submerged as we descend," explained Carme Pinos of Torreblanca Park in Alicante, Spain, where criss-crossing paths bypass circular beds with aromatic plants and vine-covered metal trellises to create a sensuous public space. More recently, the cantilevered floors of Pinos's 16-story Torre Cube in Guadalajara, Mexico were built around a central, open-air atrium to question where architecture meets public space and vice versa.
