CAMPOSAZ 52:52_alimentAZIONI per Tonezza - Wooden Self-Build Workshop

Friday, Jun 12, 20264:13 AM — Sunday, Jun 21, 20264:13 AMCEST

Tonezza del Cimone (VI), Italy Tonezza del Cimone (VI), Italy

CAMPOSAZ 52:52_alimentAZIONI per Tonezza - Wooden Self-Build Workshop

The workshop will take place in Tonezza del Cimone (VI), Italy

From 12-06-2026 to 21-06-2026

Applications must be submitted by midnight on 27 Maggio 2026

Info:

In collaboration with the Municipality of Tonezza, Faiberica, and Tonezzana, this workshop is part of a broader project funded by Fondazione Cariverona. The goal is to tackle social isolation and depopulation by creating a new "human infrastructure." We will focus our creative energy on the outdoor garden of the Municipal Library: a central, currently empty space that has the potential to become the new cultural and social heart of the village.

Who can participate: Camposaz is a 1:1 scale design and wooden self-build workshop focused on creating architectural objects that engage with the landscape and its inhabitants. The call is open to 10 designers from diverse backgrounds and professional experiences, who will be selected and guided by the Camposaz team throughout the ten-day design and construction process. The aim is to form a temporary group capable of integrating creative and practical processes to produce a cohesive work. During the workshop, participants will create wooden structures inspired by themes provided by the organizers and the local community, while developing an environmentally-conscious, hands-on, and context-sensitive approach.

Students from POLIMI can obtain 4 CFU by participating in this workshop!

The workshop is for free.

To participate we will only ask you to join Camposaz association: the membership has a cost of 15€, which must be paid online before the workshop and it's valid for the current year, which will provide insurance coverage for the entire duration of the workshop.

During the workshop we will sleep in common spaces provided by the local partners. Main meals (breakfast-lunch-dinner) will be provided by the host, too!  More information about the schedule and logistics will be sent to the participants after the selection phase.

How to apply:

Applicants will be selected based on a short motivational letter (max 150 words) and a project that reflects their architectural approach (1 A4 page, no portfolio).

Interested candidates must complete the form by May 27, 2026:
