Hovering between the lime-light and shadows, earth and outer space, and black and white – Michael requires a monument to embrace the polarities of his character. Two ‘Moonwalker’ robots simultaneously etch Michael onto the moon’s surface & Meteor Crater (Arizona). ‘Earth Michael’ is wrapped by a circular ramp that carves through the craters walls and leads to an observation platform. The same moon that transformed Michael in Thriller is now a transforming global monument to our beloved pop icon.
