Transcending Time

As books, art, and buildings on earth inevitably erode over the centuries, the bootprints left by the astronauts on the moon will likely be the only preserving evidence of intelligent life on Earth. Jackson’s moonwalk strides were measured to create a golden cenotaph that casts a shallow impression similar to the steps Neil Armstrong first took on the moon. While Armstrong’s step verifies the Earth’s scientific progress, Jackson’s memorial serves to commemorate humankind’s cultural triumphs.
