Michael Jackson was an artist who set the bar for entertainment. An outdoor performance is proposed with a large hologram of Michael that will use the natural landscape as its stage. The show would display Michael at various stages in his career and chronicle his achievements. The show moves around the world to allow such a popular figure to be remembered by all. The mobility of the show allows for a constant flux in context, connecting the hologram with the immediate international surroundings.

The MJ Monument is a satellite of gold launched into space carrying the complete archive of his life and legacy, translated into digital media.
As the satellite orbits our planet, it transmits this information back to earth and into outer space, gaining new fans. Fans will be able to send their condolences directly to it via a satellite dish.

Every 50 years, the satellite returns to Earth as the centrepiece of a joyous renewal ceremony, where its content and design will be updated.

As is more befitting to this king, his glory will be spread throughout the nine zones of the “Michael Jackson Memorial Park” to be located in Central Los Angeles. 

MacArthur Park, where a broad diversity of people already congregate, is the chosen site and will be transformed, much as Michael himself was.

A 40’ tall gilt statue of Michael in a signature pose will crown each pavilion and activity zones to reflect & radiate his light.

michael doing his latest great move… leaning forward, he salutes his family and fans with the gloved hand, his body, clothing not including his afro and shoe are all mirrow and his youthful look “afro” takes him back… child at heart. He stands as a star with 5 pionts, which changes its lights at night poping up out of the earth like a comet (gone too soon) with swirls of lights and musical notes surrounding the globe and his name written around the base and globe by bright lights.

Unlike other monuments, proposed MJM is duplicable tower with potable water tank. Preferred site is where people are suffering from limited water access. When empty, the tank will be refilled by a charity organization or individual. This “loving and giving” will touch our deep inside and push us to make a “better world”. When duplicated and spread out to all around the world, it will stay in people’s memory and, that is, a “true monument”.
