An artificial satellite is launched into orbit, circling the planet multiple times in a day. Colored mirrors unfold, and the satellite reflects enough sunlight to be visible during the day. A brand-new artificial star is born, shifting colors along its dynamic course through the heavens. People the world round recognize this testament to cultural achievement, and are moved at mankind’s ability to create. The nascent private space industry, having launched the monument, garners much attention.

Using a combination of explosives, lunar concrete, and GPS systems, engineers and artists can work together to create man’s most ambitious sculpture. What better way to remember the King of Pop than with his own stars.  That’s right, a constellation in the night sky in the form of an “M” and “J”.  Other kings in history have had their own constellations in the night sky.  The stars that form the “M” and “J” are located in the northern hemisphere in August between Pegasus and Cepheus, the “M” comprising 5 stars of the Lacerta constellation and the “J” as a completely new constellation.  What better way to remember the King of Pop than with a constellation…

Michael Jackson’s “Heal the World”

Concept: 
A single reflective orb centered in a field of grass.  The 30 foot sphere represents the world.  Visitors at the field’s edge are beckoned to touch the reflective surface. Crossing the field is an act of coming together.  Once the surface is touched, the world is healed.  Upon seeing their own reflection, people realize that together they are healing themselves.

Satellite Forever-Y-1

Orbiting the Globe -The constellation will consist of numerous inhabitable space station sized satellites, mimicking one of his famous dance moves. Each satellite will include large football sized video screens showing videos and images that can be viewed with a telescope. The monument will be associated and connected to today’s popular social networks. Future space travel will allow the satellites to be physically visited as M.J. museums.

The Immortal Ring

The Immortal Ring is composed of two 25 feet stainless steel rings in diameter and an outer and inner skin. The outer skin made out of aluminum and LED lights forming “KING OF POP” all around the cylinder. The inner skin acts as a long plasma television showing all of Michael’s moves and music throughout all his life.The core contains an interactive rotating structure of his famous glove changing to all of his hand’s gestures.The glove is covered with crystals symbolizing Michael’s Healed World

Only stars can make an appropriate framework for a monument dedicated to Michael Jackson. Already in his life he managed to please a whole generation on earth through his music, dance, and lyrics.
Now also the particle accelerators at CERN have become needed. By creating a few strategically placed black holes the whole galaxy would become a star formation in memory of Michael.
By this we will not only preserve the memory of our great star, but will be able to share him with the whole universe.

The Michael Jackson memorial monument has been designed with specific thoughts and ideals that aim to show the larger-than-life character of Michael Jackson, his success, talent and following that, combined, make him the greatest entertainer that has ever lived.

Six outer ‘balloons’ form a hexagon, with a symbolic central balloon showing how Michael Jackson was not a simplistic man - there were many elements to him, his music, dance, videos, Neverland, charities…

For 50 years children at all latitudes will point in awe at the luminous spectacle. As Moonwalker completes its orbit the fuselage will detach and the head of the rocket, relying on calculations, will crash into a vacant field outside Gary, IN. Emerging from the crater: a 100 foot statue of the King of Pop.

Michael Jackson was one of the most popular characters of our time but also one of the most enigmatic.  The same can be said for his iconic dance, The Moonwalk, an intriguing series of motions.  This sculpture captures his famous dance in 17 life-size steel silhouettes; one for each of his number one hits, from the Jackson 5 through his solo career.  The forms are gold plated to symbolize the extravagance of the life he lived.

Visitors can interact w/ structure. Walls are translucent mirror or tinted glass & wave in the wind like silk. MJ’s statues as a man & as a boy reflect on the glass as their age opposites. The man who is a boy - the boy has to be a man. Visitors can dance on the Billie Jean walkway as it lights up & plays music or imitate the Moonwalk on smooth surface w/ video projection or etched stills of dance steps in floor or wall. The scale at the boy statue is more intimate as the glass wraps around like a blanket ... maybe colorful balls…
